The mission of the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine is to advance stem cell research through collaborative, multi-disciplinary interactions. This "collaboratory" enables scientists to work side by side in a facility specifically designed to achieve breakthrough discoveries. Sanford Consortium researchers are applying the powers of stem cells to promote diagnoses, treatments, and cures for degenerative diseases and injuries.
The Dorris Neuroscience Center leverages the tradition of Scripps Research as a multidisciplinary institute bringing biological, biophysical, and chemical approaches to the study of the nervous system. Members of the Center explore some of the most fundamental questions in neuroscience research to help lead the way in our increasing understanding of brain function and revealing novel strategies and targets for the treatment of nervous system disorders.
An interdisciplinary research unit dedicated to revealing basic biological processes in neuroscience.
From the infinite scale of the universe, to the infinitesimal scale of sub-atomic particles, Berkeley Lab researchers are addressing national and global challenges and advancing the scope of human knowledge through an array of scientific programs, partnerships and proposals.
